Le grand dévoilementWho were those masked men (and woman)?

We hope you had the chance to meet the members of PodCamp Montreal’s organising committee this weekend. Since some of us work in the shadows, we want to be sure to recognize the great work of all the volunteers who came together these past few months to pull off a kick ass PodCamp.

We were also very lucky to be supported by volunteers, including students from Harold’s University of Sherbrooke class, Ile sans fil who provided the wifi, Christian Aubry and Manuel Angelini who, along with Laurent Maisonnave, were behind the camera for our live streaming, and Marko Kulik and Eva Blue, who were our official photographers.

Finally, thanks to all of you for making this inaugural event a big success. See you next year!

    Only one question haunts me so far. Have you been acquaintances in the real life or it’s all thanks to the web?
    Anyhow, all together you’re a cool team!

    @svetlana Intriguing questions haunt you … :)

    Most of the members of the organizing committee are also members of PodMTL, which is a monthly podcasters’ meetup here in Montreal. We’ve also crossed paths at different events, including Podcasters across borders, where I’d venture a guess to say most of the friendships were sealed. And, of course, we’ve all been following one another over time through our podcasts and blogs.

    A few URLS in case you’re interested in forging similar, productive, relationships:

    The next PodMTL event is October 23rd - if you’re in town, come relive the memories!

    Secret to success when organizing a Podcast - from my point of view? A healthy respect for the work of those around you. It was easy for me to put my trust in a team whose members are in your ears all the time (now _that_ sentence sounds odd!). If you haven’t checked out our podcasts yet, take advantage of that nice little podcast reader up at the top of this blog.

    Thanks again everyone. You did an amazing job and it showed, yet you made it seem effortless during PodCamp. Wish I could have stayed for Day 2, maybe next year. At least there’s always the video archives. I hope all of you will join us for PodCamp Toronto early in 2009 - TBA.

    Cheers et merci,

    Eden

    Michelle thanks for your answering. It’s amazing how the ways of the web- and real life can crossing together - I like it!
    And thanks for the invitation, but so far I’m kinda Internet-follower ;) so these links will be useful.

    Laurent, Of course we’ll avoid SXSW dates. We may be close but we won’t overlap. ;-) I think we were a week or two apart this year.
